With a total of eighteen (18) years combined service working in both Transportation and Automotive Industries, I have gained extensive knowledge and experience and understand how both industries work – be in logistics, transportation of goods and passengers.
For the past eight (8) years I have been working for PRASA – Autopax as a Stakeholder Relationship & Communications Manager managing relationships and ensuring that Stakeholders’ needs are managed and taken care of. The last ten (10) years were at the Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) where she worked as Communications & Events Manager specialising in Automotive Shows, Expositions, Conferences and Workshops nationally and internationally.
Prior, I have also worked for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Manufacturing Division doing Public Relations, the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) LinkAfrica Project.
I have been exposed internationally working abroad managing projects at the South African International Desk in Europe and successfully managed events across the world. As part of my duties, I worked with South African Embassies Officials and Representatives in European countries where I have established good working relationships.
Every year I joined large expositions in Europe where I represented South Africa on National Pavilions co-ordinated by the Department of Trade & Industry (TISA) such as:
• Germany (Automechanika),
• Paris (EquipAuto),
• St. Gallen – Switzerland (Technology Marketing, Bayern Innovative – Business to Business (B2B),
• Birmingham – UK (Birmingham Motorshow),
• Ireland – Ireland Motorshow,
• South African International Motorshow (NASREC)
Also, for the last five (5) years, I have been involved with the Road Transport Management Corporation (RTMC) as an Adjudicator in their National Schools Competitions for the Road Safety Debates and Participatory Educational Techniques (PET) Projects. Both programmes are the flagship initiatives of RTMC directed at Leaners. The Road Safety Debates provides a platform for Learners to debate on road safety issues. The PET competition on the other hand encourages Leaners to identify road safety problems and find hands-on solutions to their community road safety problems. Both these competitions take place over five (5) days during school holidays.
