Hardface Technologys Mozambique is a new formed company as result of a joint venture
between Hardface Technologys South Africa, the brunch of Hardface Technology, the Australian Company, and a Mozambican company Tatos Botao. The company has been formed to offer a solution to maintain rail lines of rail operators throughout Mozambique, and other countries in Southern Africa, by refurbishing the points and crossings, along with repairing defects in the plain rail rather than replacing them. This offers considerable cost savings while maintaining train timetables. Hardface Technologys Mozambique would look to employ local people and train them to repair and refurbish points and crossings and defects in plain line rail, offering the rail operators considerable cost savings.
This would be accomplished by training the new employees to the same high standards as in Australia, in the technology developed and used extensively in Australia by Hardface Technologys.
This Technology is called Hedkote and is a registered trademark of Hardface Technologys. It must be noted that Hedkote cannot be used to repair or refurbish all the damage and defects found within a railway system and there will still be a need to purchase some new components and straight rail. All work would need to be inspected prior to starting work to make sure it is possible to repair. Having said this, Hedkote can be used to refurbish much larger defects than any other welding method currently being used around the world, and we believe that we are the only company that offers a warranty against any defective weld carried out by its highly skilled workforce.
