Nozipho Sithole, a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa has taken over the helm of South Africa’s national port operator, Transnet Port Terminals, on 1st July 2017. Previously she practiced law at Weber Wentzel where she qualified as an attorney, conveyancer and notary public of the High Court before joining Transnet in 1994 as a legal advisor. In 2000 she moved to Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) as Port Manager for the Port of Durban. Her mandate was to ensure that TNPA Port of Durban provided marine services to port customers in line with best practice and process. In 2004 Ms. Sithole took over the reigns as TNPA General Manager Operations with oversight of all TNPA’s eight ports.
